9 Methods to Englightenment, Awakening Your Kundalini Energy
To awaken kundalini you must prepare yourself through many yogic techniques like asanas, pranayama, kriya and meditation. When you can direct your breath, prana to your dormant seat of kundalini, the energy wakes and passes through the sushumna nadi, through the central nervous system, to the brain. As it ascends, the kundalini energy passes through each chakra, which are connected with different areas of the brain that are silent. When this energy is awakened there is the dormant areas of the brain start to open and blossom like flowers.
Â
1. Awakening By Birth
They say if your parents were highly evolved, you can be born with an awakened kundalini. You can also be born with awakened shushumna, the spiritual channel, ida or pingala nadi. Ida nadi flows from the left side of mooladha chakra, and Pingala nadi flows from the right side of mooladhara. Ida is passive, introvert and feminine, the mood nadi. Pingala is active, extrovert and masculine, and is the sun nadi.
Â
If a person is born awakened, their life experiences are under much control. It all takes place within them in a natural way, with understanding and they never seem to feel extensive things are happening to them. A child with awakened kundalini will have clarity, vision, a high quality of thinking and extraordinary philosophy. They have total detachment and portray very mature behaviours and tend not to react emotionally to anything in life.
Â
2. Mantra
Mantras are a very powerful and risk free method to awaken kundalini, however it is a sadhana which takes time and a lot of patience. You first need to find a suitable mantra, preferably from a guru who can guide you. Practicing mantras will help you develop your vision and higher force which allows you to live life with the inner knowing of being indifferent to everything around you.
Â
Repeating a mantras over and over again creates a sound force that gathers momentum and creates a vibration throughout the ocean of your mind. When you practice mantras millions and billions of times it permeates throughout the body and brain, purifying your whole physical, emotional and mental well being.
Â
They must be practiced outloud, softly, on the mental level and psychic plane. By practicing them on all four levels, it is said that kundalini will awaken methodically and systematically.
Â
3. Tapasya
Tapasya means the performance of austerities. It is a means of purification, burning or setting on fire as a process of elimination, not physically but emotionally and mentally. Through this process the whole personality is cleaned of dirt, and behaviour patterns that cause pain or suffering.
Â
Habits and patterns must be destroyed at the psychic root, not just at the conscious level. Tapasya is a psychological or psycho-emotional process where the person tries to initiate a process of moving metabolism to eradicate the habits that can cause weakness or the obstruct the awakening of willpower.
Â
Through repetitive practice, the deficiency of will can be built up by removing the distance between resolution and execution. The will power that is weak, then makes a decision once and for all, and the matter is finished. That emotional or mental energy charge is eliminated.
Â
4. Herbs
In sanskrit, this method is called aushadhi, and should not be mistaken as the use of LSD or other drugs. It is one of the most powerful and rapid methods to awaken kundalini, but it is not for everyone and few people know about it. Different herbs in our world can transform the nature of the body and elements to envoke a partial or full awakening.
Â
This method should be practiced alongside a guru or qualified guide because these herbs awaken ida or pingala, other herbs can suppress both these nadis and quickly lead a person to the mental ward. Ordinary people who were not prepared, competent or qualified, have misused plants and the aushadhi form of awakening. This is a reason you do not want to awaken your kundalini in an impatient manner, as if you are not ready to handle the powers and energies that come with it, schizophrenia or different mental dis-eases an develop.
Â
